Aura Energy Bites Recipe

Makes approximately 16-18 energy bites

Ingredients:

1 cup of coarsely ground oats or pre-prepared oat flour

1 cup of shredded, unsweetened coconut

2-3 tablespoons of maple syrup or liquid sweetener of choice

Juice of half a lemon, plus 2-3 tablespoons of lemon zest

2 tablespoons of Daydream's Aura herbal powder blend

2 tablespoons of chia seeds (hemp or poppyseed would also work)

Ritual:

  1. If using whole oats, begin by lightly grounding them using a blender or food processor until they are a coarse flour consistency. If using a pre-prepared oat flour, go ahead and skip to step two!
  2. Combine the oat flour, coconut, and aura powder blend in a bowl and then mix well with the maple syrup, lemon juice and lemon zest until you achieve a thick, dough like consistency. If needed, add a tablespoon or two of water to bind!
  3. Lightly stir in your seeds of choice, until they are well distributed.
  4. Roll into approximately 16-18 small bites, and if desired, roll them in some additional shredded coconut or seeds as a coating.
  5. Place on a tray or plate and allow them to chill in the fridge for at least one hour but preferably overnight.
  6. Enjoy as a light breakfast, a mid-day snack or a late night sweet treat! Can last up to 5 days in the fridge, or can be frozen and enjoyed later on.
